Lesson 1: God Made LightGenesis 1:1–5 · A simplified Bible retelling.
Our memory verse is the short excerpt “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). The sun, moon, and stars are introduced in a later lesson.
Choose the coloring page and optional letter practice from lesson setup. You may print now or later. Printing opens your device’s print dialog; we cannot detect whether paper actually printed, so a grown-up confirms it is ready.
The short story is designed for repeat reading. Add conversation, play, coloring, and flashlight exploration in several short sessions. It is not an hour of video.
Benny guides each activity. Sound begins after a tap. Open Grown-ups to pause, then close it to resume. Benny’s animated scenes play alongside his narration. Mouth movements are expressive animation and do not precisely match every spoken sound.
Play in short sessions. The story is brief; repeat games, talk together, move, color, and explore. No timer or forced hour of screen time.
These are participation notes, not a test or proof of mastery. Ask your child: Who made light? What does light help us do? What can we thank God for?
